Natural Cold and Flu Elixir

This beautiful decoction is a life saver if you're feeling rundown, sickly and congested. Keep a batch of these ingredients at home or by your desk at work during times when you're feeling off, and steep yourself back to good health.

 

Ingredients

1 small knob ginger, finely sliced (or finely grated)

1/2 lemon, juiced

3 sprigs of fresh thyme

1 leaf fresh sage

1 tsp raw organic honey

1 1/2 cups boiling water

 

Place all of the ingredients in a pot or large mug. Pour over the boiling water. Set aside to steep for 4-5 minutes. Drink as is or strain and drink the hot liquid.

 

Note: This tea can be re-steeped up 3-4 times, so don't discard the ingredients!
